I’m for universal semiotic chastity. Keep those disgusting signifiers in your damn signs where it belongs. Any information conveyed to me is against my consent.

I get why non-californians aren’t comfortable with being called “dude” but it really is a gender neutral term here. I call my mom dude. Elderly waitresses are dudes. Small insects I notice throughout my day are dudes. Kitchen utensils I cannot find are dudes.
If you don’t wanna be called bro or dude, that’s totally cool, but I am being genuine when I say any cat is a total brah.
im sooo excited for autumn and pumpkins and skeleton decor… and apples… and ghosts.. and cats and crunchy leaves and libraries when its cold out and
fuzzy socks and sweaters… and hot chocolate… and halloween movies… and soft blankets
D&D has become so much more fun since it clicked for me that I’m not the character, I’m the writer in charge of the character
If you’re the character, bad rolls and bad calls reflect badly on you. You want to Win because that means you’re doing D&D right, and if things go wrong, it’s because you’re doing it wrong.
If you’re the writer, your number one job is to do things to your character that the character does not like because that gives them the chance to be interesting.
Likewise, running a campaign becomes SO MUCH EASIER when you realize that the people sitting around your table aren’t just your audience, they’re your writers room for this show you’re all making together and you can invite them in on the creative process so you don’t have to bear the burden alone.
lg5:
It’s crazy that these strikes are happening given that all the writers and actors are asking for is less than 0.3% of the revenue these studios make.
This is what gets me. The writers and actors aren’t asking for much but these CEOs are digging their heels in
It’s because it sets a precedent that the CEOs are terrified to set. That they will acquiesce to worker demands if the workers are resolute enough.
Because in an ideal world for these rich fucks, the workers give up, and the CEOs win, and its reinforced in the collective public mindset that all a strike does is “disrupt the economy, deprive people of valuable products, and waste people’s time”. The goal is to maintain the assertion that Strikes Don’t Work. I don’t think they genuinely give a shit about 0.15% of their revenue. What they care about is the OPTICS.
They cannot back down, for the exact same reason that WORKERS cannot back down. Because if the workers win, it shows people just that bit more that The Poors have power and ultimately we can make the rich do what we want if we put our fucking minds to it. And that, to the rich, is bad news bears to the highest degree.
😮Who is she!?
